A nice looking vintage Canon Canola calculator. Batteries are place just behind to the top of the 10 digits VFD display. 4 AA size battery adds some stability to this portable desktop calculator.. Case easily open via 2 screws in the battery compartment. Aluminium faceplate trim to the keypad created some issue with wear and tear possibly a result of the composition of the aluminium.
Detailed inside look at my collection of vintage calculators. The highly skilled and detail engineering that goes into making a vintage calculator make them expensive to own in those days. Collectors worldwide has found inspiration it such marvels of human creativity. All the caculators here are carefully cleaned and refurbished and repaired where possible. The focus here is on the industrial design and manufacturing innovation from each calculator brand and less on the electronics wizardly.
