Vintage Casio Mini Electronic Calculator CM-602

Any early Casio calculator, with quite a bit of components. To save cost Casio just display 6 digits. The keyboard uses metallic wires and a thin sheet of steel with multiple springy cutouts. A key problem with such a keyboard is key bounce and this has to be solved with either hardware or software. This particular Vintage Casio Mini Electronic Calculator CM-602 suffers from key bounce randomly, causing digits to repeat themselves even though the key is press only once.

The keypad would benefit from some cleaning maybe replacement
of the wires use for the fixed portion of the key contact. Currently the
keypad exhibits a good amount of key bounce resulting in repeated digits.

  1. Yep, this is the very first electronic calculator I had ever used (or seen for that matter.) From the mid-seventies I believe it sold in the neighborhood of $125. Also one of the earliest uses for AA batteries outside of pen-lights that I can recall.

    Thanks for posting!
