Vintage Casio S-1 Desktop Calculator

This Casio S-1 caculator is yellow with age, but is still operating well with good key pad.

A design error in the support for the battery terminals can
cause the thin plastic wall of the terminal to give way
due to pressure from the inserted batteries. When this happens
the battery loses contact and the calculator malfunction. A simple repair
is to place a strip of nylon tubing to reinforce the battery terminal wall.

The moulded model number on the case is  S-2 but this
is covered over with a label showing the calculator as a S-1.

Vintage Casio Mini Electronic Calculator CM-602

Any early Casio calculator, with quite a bit of components. To save cost Casio just display 6 digits. The keyboard uses metallic wires and a thin sheet of steel with multiple springy cutouts. A key problem with such a keyboard is key bounce and this has to be solved with either hardware or software. This particular Vintage Casio Mini Electronic Calculator CM-602 suffers from key bounce randomly, causing digits to repeat themselves even though the key is press only once.

The keypad would benefit from some cleaning maybe replacement
of the wires use for the fixed portion of the key contact. Currently the
keypad exhibits a good amount of key bounce resulting in repeated digits.
